Two young mountain lions decided to go on a stroll in downtown Half Moon Bay Sunday evening.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office tweeted out photos of the pair, and said that they were not aggressive and “seemed to be enjoying the heat from the SMCSO patrol cars.”
The photos showed the big cats hanging out near bushes as well as under sheriff’s patrol cars. Sheriff’s officials said the incident took place around 7 p.m.
“Please use caution anytime you see mountain lions,” they added.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife also monitored the mountain lions through the evening.
