Today's First Alert Forecast

We’re in for a hot weekend in Southern California. A heat advisory remains in effect for the valleys and Inland Empire through Monday evening.

The same area of high pressure causing the heat is also dragging in monsoon moisture into the mountains. There’s a 20% chance of storms in that area this afternoon.

A shallow marine layer returns overnight for the coast but clears quickly. Sunday will be another sizzling day with similar temperatures as Saturday.

The relief from the heat doesn’t arrive until the middle of next week.
