After the Oakland A’s struck first with a big inning Monday night, the Boston Red Sox answered back almost immediately and won running away 9-4 in the teams’ series opener at Fenway Park.
A’s starter Frankie Montas went out for the third inning with a 4-0 lead and the defending champs lit him up for six runs in the frame.
