Bay Area counties on Thursday were preparing to receive tens of thousands of doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine as they await the FDA’s approval.
An FDA advisory panel convened Thursday morning to consider the vaccine, which has a reported 95% efficacy rate.
A Stanford University infectious disease expert weighed in, saying he believes “it’s going to be a slam dunk.”
