Preliminary 4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Ventura County

A preliminary 4.1 magnitude earthquake rattled the Santa Paula area of Ventura County Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at about 5:44 p.m. with an approximately 16 mile depth.

Santa Paula is about 66 miles from downtown Los Angeles.
