The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office briefly closed Oakland International Airport’s Terminal 2 checkpoint Saturday after a TSA employee reported a suspicious package.

According to Lt. Tya Modeste with the sheriff’s office, a bomb squad investigated the package for explosives or other hazardous materials. None were found.

The investigation lasted for about an hour, leaving the checkpoint closed between 4 p.m to 5 p.m.
