Newsom, Elder sharpen their attacks after poll shows support for recall effort waning

Gov. Gavin Newsom and Republican recall replacement candidate Larry Elder traded accusations on Thursday after a new poll from the Public Policy Institute of California showed support for the recall effort decreasing. Elder is the front-runner among replacement candidates.
