A man was shot and wounded Sunday night by Los Angeles police in Eagle Rock and taken to a hospital.
The shooting happened around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Broadway and Glendale Avenue, according to LAPD officer Art Rodriguez and Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The condition of the wounded man was not immediately known.
There was no immediate word on what precipitated the shooting, but Rodriguez said the fire department called the LAPD to request help.
