M4.0 Earthquake Rattles Mendocino County: USGS

A preliminary 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck early Friday in Mendocino County, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which shook at about 4:18 a.m., was centered about 27 miles north of Ukiah in the Mendocino National Forest, the USGS said.
