How could Ridgecrest earthquakes kill someone 180 miles away in Nevada?

Last week’s twin major earthquakes caused only minor injuries near the epicenter in Ridgecrest, Calif.

But 180 miles to the northeast in Pahrump, Nev., authorities are now investigating whether the quakes caused the death of a man found under a vehicle.
