A 24-year-old man on a road trip from Southern California to Oregon had stopped in the Bay Area when his dog, Yippy, got out of his car and disappeared. Although he has not yet found Yippy, the man’s faith in humanity has been restored as strangers have offered up their couches so that he can stay and search for his companion. Garvin Thomas reports.
