
The criminal case against former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao was back in federal court Thursday for a status hearing.
The judge in Oakland will hear from attorneys on both sides in terms of their preparation for a trial.
It wasn’t clear if Thao and the three other defendants would be in court. Last month, Thao appeared in the federal courtroom to plead not guilty to charges of bribery, conspiracy and mail and wire fraud.
