A black SUV, which had smoke coming from its tires after hitting a spike strip, led police on a chase through South Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.
After a short, slow-speed chase, the driver and a passenger surrendered to officers at 89th Street and Broadway.
The relationship between the driver and the passenger was not immediately clear.
No further information was available.
