Fire crews on Wednesday responded to a fire in the foothills east of San Jose that was burning brush and a structure and had spread to 50 acres, according to Cal Fire.
The fire was burning on Sweigert Roadin the Spring Valley area, just east of San Jose and Milpitas, fire officials said.
Crews were attacking from the ground and air. No evacuation orders had been issued as of 6 p.m., and no injuries were reported, fire officials said.
No further details were immediately available.
