Bay Area Manhunt for Suspect Tied to SF, Oakland Homicides

Police have issued a Bay Area-wide alert seeking help in locating a suspect wanted for homicides in San Francisco and Oakland.

The suspect, identified as Stefon Jefferson, is believed to be responsible for a homicide reported Friday morning in the 4100 block of Market Street in Oakland.

Jefferson, 43, is also named by San Francisco police as a suspect in a homicide reported in the afternoon in the city’s Bayview district. He is described as standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, 185 pounds, dark hair and brown eyes. Police said he was armed with a firearm when the homicide occurred.

Police said the Jefferson may be driving a black, 4-door Toyota Corolla, license plate #CA7WVY390.

Anyone who spots the vehicle should not approach, but call 911 immediately.
