Arrest Made on Freeway After High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash, With Sparks Flying in San Fernando Valley

The driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck was arrested Friday night after a high-speed chase ended in a crash causing sparks to fly on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Lake View Terrace.

Police had been chasing the truck at from the Westside to the Valley for reasons that weren’t immediately clear.

The driver bumped and side-swiped multiple vehicles on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in the San Fernando Valley before entering the Foothill (210) Freeway.

He had appeared to have bumped at least one car while swerving through traffic on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near the Golden State (5) Freeway.

He had been wanted for speeding, according to the California Highway Patrol.
