Not only are meetings and conferences for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit kicking off in San Francisco this week, but there are also many afterparties for attendees to enjoy.
A finance ministers meeting set to begin at 9 a.m. Monday will feature opening remarks from U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who was quite busy over the weekend.
On Sunday, Yellen held an introductory meeting with China’s minister of finance, where she spoke about her meetings with China’s vice premier last week before the summit began.
Outside the summit, protesters have been making their voices heard.

On Sunday night, there was a large party at San Francisco City Hall.
The party, hosted by Mayor London Breed and Dominic Ng, the CEO of East West Bank, was a welcome reception for the APEC Business Advisory Council, APEC’s private sector arm.
International dignitaries, California businesses and local leaders were invited to the private event.
