Altadena resident reconnects displaced community to rebuild after Eaton Fire

Multiple streets were closed off Thursday following a deadly officer-involved shooting in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Hyde Park.

The shooting was reported around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Hyde Park and Crenshaw Boulevard, according to the LAPD.

Officers requested help after opening fire.

An ambulance was requested for a 30-year-old man, LAPD said.

More than a dozen police car units were stationed along Crenshaw Boulevard. NewsChopper4 was over the scene where officers formed a skirmish line to keep crowds away.
