27-Year-Old Suspect Wanted for Domestic Violence, Kidnapping in Monrovia

A 27-year-old man is suspected of domestic violence and kidnapping a 31-year-old woman in Monrovia, and authorities Monday appealed to the public for help in locating the suspect and the victim.

The Monrovia Police Department responded to a domestic violence incident in the 600 block of Vaquero Road and found evidence of an apparent assault, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which said it was assisting the Monrovia Police Department.

The suspect was identified as Robert Anthony Camou, 27, and described as 6 feet tall, 150 pounds with brown hair. The victim was identified as Amanda Kathleen Custer, 31, and described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Investigators believe the victim was kidnapped in a 2017 gray Toyota Pruis with license plate “8AOR167,” the LASD said.
