Two people were taken to the hospital after being shot at the Valley Fair Mall in West San Jose Friday afternoon, police said.
Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and not an active shooter. However, authorities reported they are evacuating and clearing the mall to confirm there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Police asked residents to avoid the area.
