A water main break caused a major traffic detour in Milpitas on Tuesday night and into Wedenesday morning.
All eastbound lanes of East Calaveras Boulevard, from Hillview Drive to Interstate 680, were closed as crews worked to repair the water pipe.
Drivers were encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
No other details were released.
