A UC Berkeley student is hospitalized after nearly drowning at a fraternity, UC Berkeley officials said.
According to the institution, a student was hospitalized after nearly drowning at a recognized fraternity located off-campus Friday night.
“Our thoughts are with the student, their family, loved ones and friends during this time,” UC Berkeley wrote in a statement sent to NBC Bay Area. “We are following our protocols to offer support to the student and their family. The safety and wellbeing of our students remains our top priority.”
Officials said this is an active and ongoing investigation.
