Alaska Airlines was experiencing a company-wide IT outage Thursday, prompting the airline to ground all of its flights.
The ground stop was issued for all Alaska and Horizon Air flights, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
“We apologize for the inconvenience. If you’re scheduled to fly tonight, please check your flight status before heading to the airport,” wrote Alaska Airlines on X.
Back in July, Alaska Airlines grounded several flights at LAX, citing another IT outage.
The ground stop was extended until 7:30 p.m., according to the FAA.
More than a dozen flights were delayed at LAX, Burbank, Ontario and Santa Ana John Wayne Airport. Two flights were canceled, one at LAX and another at Ontario International Airport.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
