Suspected dating app burglar accused of stealing during a podcast appearance

As the Los Angeles Dodgers move deeper into the playoffs and advance to the National League Championship Series (NLCS), rising ticket prices may prevent some fans from going to games.

Tickets to MLB playoff games have soared over the years: Just last year, the cheapest ticket for the final games of the World Series was $413, while the most expensive was $2,100. Some tickets on StubHub were resold for as much as $6,400.

During the 2015 New York Mets-Kansas City Royals series, the average resale price was $1,437.

The ticket prices seem even more astonishing when compared to those from decades ago. A 1960s regular-season game ticket found on eBay was sold at the time for $1.50. During the 1963 World Series between the Dodgers and the New York Yankees, tickets were only $12, and bleacher seats went for $2.

Dodgers Vice President of Ticket Sales Sebastian Vega said, if fans want to save money, they should buy their tickets well in advance.

“We just came off four million fans during the season, which is unheard of,” Vega said. “We will see that support throughout the postseason as well.”

The Dodgers will play the winner of the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday.
