
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted unanimously to declare loneliness a public health crisis.
Supervisors are hoping to raise money to, among other things, create a “minister of loneliness” position.
Meanwhile, a new app also aims to help people beat back loneliness.
