SF police officer fired after accusations of having relationship with informant

A police narcotics officer in San Francisco has been fired more than two years after she was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with an informant and divulging confidential information.

The San Francisco Standard was first to report the development, but the NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit has confirmed independently through two sources familiar with the case that the police commission voted to terminate the officer last week.

The officer’s attorney declined to provide comment to NBC Bay Area on Friday.
