There was a heavy police presence in Oakland overnight Thursday in what has turned into an hours-long search for a shooting suspect.
The incident started in the area of MacArthur and 99th Avenue, near the Oakland Zoo, where video footage of the scene shows evidence of a shooting, including a vehicle with a shattered window and bullet holes.
Witnesses say two people were shot and taken to the hospital. Their conditions were unknown.
Police asked the public to the avoid the area.
