Over 77,000 PG&E customers in the East Bay were without power Wednesday night, according to the utility company’s outage map.
The outage was first reported at 5:48 p.m. and covers El Cerrito, Kensington and Albany, along with parts of Berkeley, San Pablo and Richmond. PG&E has sent crews to assess the outage.
As of 6:51 p.m., the power outage is affecting 77,105 customers.
Estimated time for restoration of power is 8:30 p.m., according to PG&E.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
