Oakland city leaders on Wednesday are expected to present a timelime to replace Mayor Sheng Thao, who was recalled in the November election.
City leaders plan to review a report from the city attorney that details when Thao will be officially removed from office and how an interim mayor will be selected.
The interim mayor will serve in the office until a special election is held, most likely in April, according to a report from the Mercury News.
