The owners of a mobile photo booth business in the San Fernando Valley asked for the public’s help in finding their stolen camper.
Ashlee and Miguel Valeriano, who launched their new photo camper back in August, said it was stolen at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Surveillance video showed a large white pickup truck driving of with their new camper after taking it from the front of their family member’s home in Reseda.
“This is our baby. This is our our everything,” said Ashlee Valeriano as she explained that the couple founded Smooth Photo Booth back in 2023 after losing their jobs during the pandemic.
In August, their business unveiled a 1970s vintage camper that they transformed it into a mobile photo booth.
“If you see anything, please say something. Please report it to the local authorities. Our biggest goal here is just to get it back home, because this is more than just an investment,” Valeriano explained while holding back tears.
She said the business has become the couple’s main source of income, and the camper was the biggest investment yet.
“We decided, ‘You know what, let’s put in our all. Let’s save up. Let’s use our savings and put it into this idea that we have and we want to be able to grow from here,’” Valeriano recalled the conversation she had with her husband. “(We thought) this will be this will be our golden ticket to help us from everything that we lost.”
The couple was set to use the camper for the first event this weekend.
As the photo booth camper has the California plate 4FJ1764, anyone with information was urged to call the LAPD.
