More wildfires, drought and climate change bring devastating changes to California wildlands

Southern California’s native landscapes are famously tough. But repeated wildfire and drought amplified by climate change pose a growing threat to wildlands that provide us with drinking water, untamed refuge from the Southland’s sprawl and stop mountainsides from sliding into our living rooms.
