Metro finishes retrofitting bus fleet with barriers to protect drivers from attacks

After a bus driver was fatally stabbed, transit officials expedited plans to finish armoring the bulk of its 2,017 buses with protective tempered glass to shield drivers from passengers. It is the first transit agency in the nation to do so.
