Police arrested a man for allegedly smashing a storefront window and then stealing a prop rifle from the display, the Burbank Police Department told NBC4 Investigates.

Officers responded to a burglary call on Nov. 22 at 2:15 p.m. at the Supply Sergeant Surplus store on the 500 block of North Victory Boulevard.

One witness reported seeing a man shatter the store’s front window and remove the rifle from the display.

After getting a description of the suspect, officers located and detained him near Magnolia Avenue and Lomita Street. The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Kato Bonnerrodoni, police said.

The prop rifle, which was wrapped in an American flag, was recovered.
