A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck northeast of San Jose, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake hit at about 9:59 pm. and was centered just north of Morgan Hill, the USGS said. It was first reported as a 3.8 magnitude earthquake but USGS has since downgraded it to 3.6.
No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
