Community leaders celebrated Monday a new development providing affordable housing for 99 people in San Jose.
Similar projects could be at risk after the Department of Housing and Urban Development announced plans to put a 30% limit on federal money for permanent supporting housing and rapid rehousing programs.
Congressmembers Sam Liccardo and Zoe Lofgren also spent Tuesday warning of the impending cuts.
