A man from the Bay Area is speaking out after being the victim of a brazen robbery at gunpoint in West Hollywood.
Abram Cortez says he was visiting with his husband from San Francisco when at least three armed men ambushed him and took everything he had.
“You know, they were checking my body for my stuff, asking me what else I had, asking me to give them all other things, and I, you know, I let them take everything,” said Cortez.
The Bay Area man estimates the stolen items are worth more than $10,000.
“They weren’t very specific with what they were asking for. They were just asking for my things, so I don’t think that I was necessarily a target,” said Cortez.
The robbery was reported around 5:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Hacienda Place just north of Santa Monica Boulevard.
Security camera footage shared with NBCLA by the WeHo Times shows at least three burglary suspects hopping out of a vehicle and pointing what appears to be a weapon at Cortez.
The investigation remains active, and no arrests have been reported.
