The man accused of ramming his car into a crowd outside an East Hollywood night club is scheduled to be in court for the first time on Wednesday.
Fernando Ramirez is now facing more than 70 felony charges.
Ramirez has been in the hospital since that crash, recovering after he was shot.
Police say he drove his car through a large crowd of people early Saturday morning when a man came from across the street and shot him.
Investigators are still looking for the shooter.
Ramirez was captured on video moments after that crash with a bloody face after the crowd pulled him out of his car and beat him.
He is facing attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon charges for each of the 37 victims.
Police say he was kicked out of the “Vermont Hollywood” nightclub and less than 10 minutes later they allege he drove his car through the crowd of innocent people.
Nicolas Suarez and Maria Medrano say they are lucky to be alive but are covered in bruises and have broken bones.
The daughter of the street vendors who were hit while they were selling food outside the club that night is trying to raise money to help them.
“I’m very glad they’re here now, nothing compared to their lives,” said Sarah Suarez.
Ramirez, who already has a long criminal history including a pending case of domestic violence in Orange County, is scheduled for his arraignment at 8:30 Wednesday morning.
