A man was arrested after shooting his neighbor following an ongoing dispute over loud music, the Burbank Police Department said.
The shooting was reported Monday shortly after 11 p.m. on North Reese Place, according to police. There, officers found a 33-year-old man on the curb, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
As detectives worked on their investigation, they learned the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute over loud music. The alleged gunman, who was identified as 37-year-old Eric Renato Sosa, exited his home to confront two men about loud noise coming from a parked car.
During the confrontation, a gunshot was fired, hitting one of the men on the leg.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. He was described as being in stable condition.
Sosa was arrested and faces an assault with a deadly weapon charge. He’s being held on $30,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
