A brush fire ignited in the San Bernardino Mountains Saturday with the potential to burn several hundred acres, according to Cal Fire.
The Lake Fire was reported around 3:50 p.m. near Crestline and Hesperia.
Evacuation orders were issued for the area south of Highway 138 from Highway 173 to Summit Valley Road.
Authorities shut down a stretch of Highway 138 in both directions from Summit to the I-15. Highway 173 was also partially closed.

The fire grew to 175 acres just before 6 p.m. and was burning rapidly, according to Cal Fire.
Winds of 20 to 35 mph are expected to blow in the area for the next few hours, the National Weather Service said.
It’s unclear how the fire started.
