A preliminary 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck Thursday near Morgan Hill, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake rumbled at 6 p.m. and was centered about 15 miles northeast of Morgan Hill, the USGS said.
No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
