14 Coronavirus Cases Now Confirmed in Santa Clara County

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Santa Clara County climbed to 14 Wednesday as the county health department announced three new cases.

All three cases are men, according to the health department. One is currently in the hospital. His exposure to the virus is under investigation. The two other men are close contacts to an existing case. They are isolated at home.

Earlier Wednesday, Placer County Public Health confirmed that a resident died of COVID-19, marking the first coronavirus death reported in California.
