Santa Clara police early Tuesday asked the public to avoid the area of Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital due to “significant” police activity.
A police spokesperson confirmed the police activity at the emergency room at the Kaiser campus on Lawrence Expressway but added it is not an active shooter situation.
The initial call came into police at about 5 a.m., the spokesman said.
No further details were immediately available.
