At least one person died in a crash on southbound Interstate 680 in the Walnut Creek-Pleasant Hill area Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which was reported at 2 a.m., happened just north of Treat Boulevard, the CHP said.
All southbound lanes have since reopened.
No other information was immediately available.
