Video captured the moment that two people were ambushed by a group of armed men at gunpoint on Labor Day in Woodland Hills.
The robbers only got away with a watch and a pocket knife, but this crime has neighbors on edge.
Two young men were washing the homeowner’s car in his driveway on Monday when what appeared to be a light gray Honda Accord drove by.
About thirty seconds later, that same car drives by again, coming from the opposite direction, then seems to pull over.
Then three men come charging down the sidewalk and up the driveway and at least one with his gun drawn.
One young man puts his hands up, telling them he doesn’t have anything.
In just 27 seconds, the group of robbers got away.
The two workers then sprinted inside the house to warn the homeowner.
The incident happened just before noon on a holiday when lots of people were at home and because of that, the homeowner says he’s scared of retaliation and doesn’t want to show his face.
“You know, if it happened on a labor day at 11:20 a.m. in front of everybody, it can happen then at any time of the day and any day at all. So it also made all of us realize that you know, maybe Woodland Hills is not the place to go home anymore,” the homeowner said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said they have not caught the three armed robbers.
Anyone who recognizes them or their car are asked to call police right away.
