Widespread Internet Outage Cancels Classes in South Bay

A widespread internet outage hit the South Bay on Wednesday, forcing many working or taking classes from home to head outdoors and search for a WiFi hotspot.

Some classes were canceled.

The Comcast internet outage lasted more than six hours. Comcast, parent company for NBC Bay Area, did not respond to a request for comment on the outage.

Scott Budman has more in the video report above.
