Volunteers in San Jose honor 9/11 victims through day of service

City leaders and volunteers in San Jose gave back to the community in honor of 9/11 victims.

Around 650 volunteers gathered Thursday morning and packed 200,000 meals at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. The meals will be donated to non-profit Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.

The event in San Jose was one of dozens of similar ways people gave pack through non-profit 9/11 Day.
