Veterans Day 2025: List of events in the Bay Area

Several events are happening across the Bay Area on Tuesday to commemorate Veterans Day.

Gilroy Gardens: “Salute to Heroes”

Address: 3050 Hecker Pass Hwy, Gilroy, CA 95020

Time and Date: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday

  • During Veterans Day Weekend, admission to the park is free for all military members, veterans, police, fire, EMT and ER medical professionals.
  • Option to purchase tickets for up to 6 additional guests at $15 each.
  • 40+ rides and attractions at the park for family fun.

San Jose: Veterans Day Parade

Address: Begins at Santa Clara Street at the Highway 87 overpass

Time and Date: Starts at noon on Tuesday

  • Since 1919, the Veterans Day Parade has been running with support from the City of San Jose, Santa Clara County, and more.
  • Largest Veterans Day Parade in Northern California.

Alameda: Veterans Day at the USS Hornet

Address: 707 W Hornet Ave, Alameda, CA 94501

Time and Date: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday

  • Active Duty and Veteran Military personnel are allowed on for free all day into the USS Hornet Museum.
  • Partnering with the Alameda County Veterans Affairs Commission and the California State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution for a commemoration event.

Sausalito: Veterans Day Sail

Address: 2100 Bridgeway, Sausalito, CA 94965

Time and Date: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday

  • Sailing from Sausalito, exploring the Bay by water and hosted by Call of the Sea.
  • Veterans receive a discount when purchasing a ticket.
