Trump administration investigating CSU system for alleged antisemitism

The California State University system is under a federal probe from the Trump administration for alleged antisemitism, Chancellor Mildred Garcia said on Friday.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission launched its investigation by reaching out to faculty and staff within the CSU system, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

CSU officials then said on Monday that Cal State Los Angeles had been subpoenaed and that the EEOC asked the university to hand over personal phone numbers and email addresses for every employee.

“Please be assured that we are responding appropriately,” Garci said, according to The Times. “Please know with absolute certainty that we will continue to advance the CSU’s mission through these and any challenges we face.”

No other universities reported being subpoenaed as of Monday.
