A tariff exemption has expired meaning it likely will cost more to buy those Lululemon pants or that piece of jewelry from Etsy.
A new charge is taking effect in the U.S. when buying imported goods online. It comes with the end of the De minimis exemption, which allowed U.S. consumers to avoid tax on certain items bought online from other countries when they cost less than $800.
