Suspect wanted in deadly hit-and-run crash in Sonoma County

Authorities are looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Rohnert Park on Friday.

The City of Rohnert Park Police and Fire said the crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. The suspect vehicle drove away after hitting the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

Officials said the suspect vehicle was last see driving west on Southwest Boulevard from Snyder Lane.

Based on vehicle parts left behind at the scene, authorities reported the vehicle is believed to be a 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado. Based on witness statements and surveillance footage, officials said it appears to be black with a lift kit and chrome wheels.

The City of Rohnert Park Police added the truck will have significant front-end damage.
